The Occupy movement is a very broad expression of concern, expressed by millions of Americans in different ways. Here in Santa Barbara, we want to know what you are thinking, and what you would like to change.

1 Resist and overcome the distortion of democracy through the power of money. Return democracy to the people.
2 Break up or end "too big to fail" banks.
3 Reverse the Citizen's United ("corporate personhood") Supreme Court ruling.
4 Provide an effective counter-force to the power of corporate lobbyists.
5 Create a cap on CEO pay as a percentage of worker pay.
6 Develop ways to utilize the wisdom of citizens to create better policy outcomes for the 99%.

22 Help build significant "we the people" coalitions and alliances.
23 Economic inequality and free-market capitalism. All the other problems stem from these.
24 A bill for Congress to come to terms with reality and the will of the American people. WE NEED TERM LIMITS !!!
25 TWO VERY IMPORTANT EVENTS HAVE OCCURRED AND IT IS OBVIOUS WE DO NOT KNOW THE TRUTH RE: KENNEDY ASSASSINATION & 9-11.
26 Overhaul national & local focus on single car transportation. Public transportation should be effective, safe, readily available and affordable.
27 Get Big Pharm out of the national medical model. So called holistic care is a valid personal choice.
28 Medicare needs to cover Prescription eyeglasses, hearing aides,dental care, and acupuncture.
29 Medicare needs to cover mental health related therapy by Licensed Therapists EVEN when they don't work in a Psychiatrist's Office!!!
30 Public education: pre-school thru grade 12. Art,music,home economics,shop class & recess must be brought back.
31 Not one more HUNGRY CHILD, WOMAN or MAN. Stop throwing away food/feed the American People!
32 Not one more person with out a house or apartment to live in, if that's where they choose to live.
33 GUN CONTROL!!!! Fight Back effectively against the NRA!
34 Access to free,reliable,non-judgmental OB & GYN care,birth control & abortion w/ no delay.
35 Community focus - help heal fractured families & communities. Elders could read to pre-schoolers for example, mothers help new mothers.
36 Extended Maternal and Paternal leave with out threat of losing one's job. There should be National payout if employer doesn't pay for the leave.
37 Get Monsanto out of the "farming business". No more GMOs and poison in our food source.
38 Stop subsidizing factory farming.
39 Every family, couple or individual has access to free internet and cell phone. Period.
40 Get our National data sharing abilities on pace with the rest of the world. We have slow, expensive & patchy access.
41 free education with a decreace in standardizing academics and increase discovery learning and civics
42 i have traded stocks on Wall Street for a very long time. It has become very obvious to me Wall St. is corrupt and as it stands the S.E.C. is lame.
43 WE HAVE LOST SIGHT OF A CORNER STONE OF WHAT THIS COUNTRY WAS MADE FOR. WE HAVE A CORRUPT CONGRESS AND A GREAT DEAL OF PROPAGANDA IS OBVIOUS.
