INTERVIEW
8 Q1(a): As you reflect on a time when people came together in a powerful way for positive change, choose one that stands out for you. Tell me your story about that time and any part you, your family and/or friends might have played in it [if relevant].

'One The Event' 10th Anniversary 9/11 - firefighter traumatized by 9/11 organized it. Global care room spinning map of Earth for meditation. 3 day event attended by 1,0000 people.

9 Q1(b): Why this is an important story? How has it influenced you? What lessons does it offer going forward?

Moving experience for Dave to be present, feel tangible connection with people to heal 9/11 wound.

Event healed a dark event that touched people deeply, felt very real. Favorite event of all the subtle activism work Dave has ever done.

Going Forward: Dave trusts that people will mobilize and connect. Urgency of sweeping planetary change will become more apparent. Listen for right chain of events or meme that we can all channel energy into. Dynamism in the Field now. Many creative 2012 events planned in support of a planetary shift. People inspired by 2012 as a transforming year. Excited about what will emerge this year.

10 Q2: At this time in history, what challenges do you see in the way we choose to organize ourselves politically, economically and socially? What opportunities do you see in the ways that things might be shifting, awakening and/or emerging in response to these challenges?

Challenges: Fragmentation. Broader challenge is to navigate collapse of an old order during this unprecedented time we are going through. How do people stay flexible, deep and centered enough, to engage uncertain times and not lose ourselves in the intensity of it all.

Opportunities: Connect and channel different voices together. Be creative and re-imagine a new world in ways that are fresh and coming from Source, instead of being limited by old ways that no longer work. Lots of creativity and differentiation in the broader progressive movement for collective good; people self empowering, and uniquely expressing the shift.

11 Q3 Context: Imagine we’re a few years down the line and people like you have been hugely successful in moving us towards lasting and far-reaching changes that benefit all people and the planet as a whole. Wherever you look, there are dramatic improvements in how leaders behave and how communities interact. As you walk through your city, town or village and talk with others across your country and around the world, you see evidence of positive change spreading everywhere.

Q3(a): Describe the differences you, hear, feel, and experience in your everyday life.

Vision of more authentic connection in Dave's community.

More spaces for conversation where people connect in real ways. Relatively simple, as people talk about real things with neighbors, getting to know and feel each other.

Feeling of subtle joy and security from feeling that web of community being knitted and woven more fully.

12 Q3(b): Describe the differences you see, hear, feel and experience in the way we choose to organize ourselves politically, economically and socially.

In addition to building local community face to face, awareness of a subtle connection to the larger global community.

A feeling of contributing to, participating in and connection with the whole community of life on Earth.

Dave envisions a shift in the democratic process that allows local voices to be channeled into the collective political process.

13 Q3(c): What did people do early on that helped to generate such positive outcomes?

Many people found the courage to follow the creative impulse that arose within, to do something new like our projects, pushing through doubt and despite faltering, they persisted.

Love for Earth was strong enough to overcome and keep moving forward, despite lack of clarity and doubt.

Many faltering steps eventually connected into a stronger and stronger stream.

14 Q3(d): What role did you play in making this happen?

Dave seeded many subtle activism circles to help create a space of openness to new possibilities that supported a profound shift in consciousness, toward a more awakened planetary culture.

15 Q4(a): What skills, talents and/or resources might you have to offer in service to collaborative work that emerges via the connect 2012 initiative?

Skills -- designing global meditation and prayer events; helping organizations connect with the essence of their mission through a deep intuitive listening process.

16 Q4(b) What is the nature of this potential offer (as a paid service, barter, gift, a combination, etc.)?

Mix of gifts and paid services.

17 Are you interested in developing the infrastructure of Occupy Cafe in support of this initiative or in other respects?

No.

18 Are you interested in collaborating on the production of a short video or a blog post based on your stories and vision?

Maybe. I would like to know more.
