Any potential legislatures should be capable of recognizing that every opportunity to vote is about representation of constituents and not padding an individual career. Recognizing this fact calls for increased civility, as no group of constituents are single minded. Leadership through an unifying approach can only benefit a candidate in the long term.
A true leader does not have to tear others down in order to raise the standards of us all. I believe debate without the hate, truth without spin and action without obstruction is not only possible, but a hallmark of a worthy candidate.
