| I grew up in Seattle in the 1970s, graduated high school in Portland, OR in the 80s, studied graduate Mathematics and Public Administration in the 90s. I have worked for state and local government offices in the area of planning (land use and transportation), I have been trained in mediation and done some volunteer work in that area.
I have volunteered with city and school district committees most of my adult life (from citizen involvement to budget), and am more interested in systems and processes than specific outcomes. I believe that if we can develop fair and transparent processes (voting, judicial, administrative, social), everyone is happier with the decisions that result.
I followed the Coffee Party Movement on facebook for months, then attended the Convention to see if it was real. I was impressed, inspired, and moved by the presenters and members, and am anxious to find the best role for me to play in supporting this effort. |
