Petitions
Petition: End the Violent Rhetoric Sun, Jan 9, 2011
I hope everyone takes this petition seriously. Over the past year, the level of anger and violence, name calling in politics, even to the President in a meeting with congress have grown to a proportion I have not seen in my life and I am an over 50 age voter. The irresponsibility of the media, the inflammatory remarks and graphic images used to make a point are excessive and dangerous. Media has more access and influence than ever now and MUST use it responsibly, holding themselves to a higher standard of reporting. Political figures, Public Persona and Party representatives must also do this. We the citizens say enough. Too much violence. Present your views/records and let us decide as informed voters. Find the common ground to work from instead of the most divisive to make headlines.
Former Members of Congress for Common Ground Wed, Oct 6, 2010
I fully support this letter from the former Congressional members, PLEASE put an end to this bipartisan war that is splitting our country apart and helping no one.
