Petitions
| Petition: End the Violent Rhetoric |
Sun, Jan 9, 2011 |
| I hope everyone takes this petition seriously. Over the past year, the level of anger and violence, name calling in politics, even to the President in a meeting with congress have grown to a proportion I have not seen in my life and I am an over 50 age voter.
The irresponsibility of the media, the inflammatory remarks and graphic images used to make a point are excessive and dangerous. Media has more access and influence than ever now and MUST use it responsibly, holding themselves to a higher standard of reporting.
Political figures, Public Persona and Party representatives must also do this. We the citizens say enough. Too much violence. Present your views/records and let us decide as informed voters. Find the common ground to work from instead of the most divisive to make headlines. |
| Former Members of Congress for Common Ground |
Wed, Oct 6, 2010 |
| I fully support this letter from the former Congressional members, PLEASE put an end to this bipartisan war that is splitting our country apart and helping no one. |
