Great to hear from you, Ani, thanks for jumping into this (for people who don't know, Ani is a long-time Santa Barbara community activist and organizer, with a number of web sites and close connection with Ayni Gallery).

I like your lyrics too -- sounds like rap. Let's work on that groundswell.

All of this very much feels like "Occupy revisited" -- it's the same issues and concerns -- with much stronger focus and national agenda.

And I'm excited about it because it's a big open call to "holistic organizing" -- more or less your favorite thing to do on the planet, Ani --

There's a meeting coming up very soon -- might be tomorrow? -- I think it's Pershing Park at 11:30am Monday -- that's going to pull a bunch of community groups together around this agenda.

This is my thing. I get this "inter-sector activism" thing - this is what we got to do. We are "silo-busters" to the max. We got to pull people together from everywhere -- and I think we're learning how to do that. In many ways -- this is the essence of our revolution.

Here's a graphic I did during Occupy days when we were marching. We can update this a little bit (won't take much, this is pretty close). This is a network design for local AND national-scale organizing.

A bunch of these groups are going to be looking at a bunch of these issues at this up-coming meeting.

Love these lyrics, Bruce. They give me some hope. Bernie's the real deal and he ain't no dope. Maybe it's possible with a groundswell he'll win. We gotta get behind him so he'll put on a grin! Ani

Hi People --

Just checking in. New energy rising...

I was down at the Farmer's Market in Santa Barbara today, along with a few folks. Carl had his accordion and I had the tambourine I marched with when we Occupiers were chanting "Banks got bailed out, we got sold out"

Here's the lyrics to the song we were singing. This is an agenda I can get behind. See what you think. Feel right to you? It does to me.
